Overwhelmed by traumatic school-based events, “active killer” training, and ever-changing high-stakes testing, public school teachers may feel stepping into a classroom is a life-altering decision. It’s certainly an emotional one. This session shares insights from a teacher who began a self-care movement to support dedicated teachers, with tips from an award-winning principal who on her first assignment transformed the toxic environment of a fractured school to a healed, collaborative space.
